Nordic Care Technologies is launching Project Guardian: a wearable fall-detection device with an AI-assisted companion app, built for elder-care facilities.

  • Hardware & Regulatory workstream (predictive) — device certification against fixed safety deadlines, formal manufacturing contracts, a critical-path build schedule that cannot slip.
  • Companion App workstream (agile) — a Scrum team iterating on the mobile app and the on-device AI fall-detection model, sprint by sprint, backlog-driven.

The two share one integrated hybrid plan, one budget, one risk register and one PM. Reconciling them every week is itself the practical skill being taught. The device's long-life, repairable design carries a sustainability thread; the AI fall-detection model carries an AI thread — both explicit new emphases in the exam content outline.
